Lancewood Travel Fly Rod
This unmarked 19th century travel rod measures 9’ 10” long and weighs 9.5 oz. It is a 5-piece rod with two tips with a different style of tip tops on each. All pieces are of equal length except the 4th piece, which is 2” short (so it probably was a 10’ rod originally). It has been refinished and is completely usable today, with that slow willowy action that 19th century wood rods are known for. It has a very nice rattan grip with thread between the windings for a better grip. No bag or tube. It also has a nickel silver reel seat with sliding band. The ferrule fit is good.
